First occupational license in Marbella In the early 2000's there was problems in the administration of building licenses, which led to many irregularities. Most of the department associated with this has been criminally charged, and is no longer employed. A big operation has been in progress since 2012, in order to resolve the illegal licenses. More and more properties are getting their first occupational license, however there are still many luxury apartments and villas for sale in Marbella without it. The first occupational license is necessary if you want to rent your property out short term. It can also be difficult to obtain finance or mortgage for your property if there is no first occupational license. Since 2010 there has not been any irregularities with the building licenses from Marbella townhall. It is mostly apartments for sale which have problems with the license. In general the public schools are teaching to a high standard, but each school can be very different. History One of the main attractions of Costa del Sol is Marbella, with a 26 km long coastline provided and sandy beaches next to Sierra Blanca. The early history of the town can be found in the Roman Barbésula, dated from the first century of our chronology. After WWII, Marbella was a small village with just 900 inhabitants. One of which became the infamous Marbella Club Hotel in 1954, frequented by international movie stars and members of European aristocratic families. The modern Marbella In the 70's and 80's, Marbella continued to become a destination for the jet set and international royalty. Prince Fahd, who favoured the holiday town built his famous palace resembling the White House. The twenty-first century Marbella is a place of relaxation.
